OJS / Open Journal System
We have worked with OICC Press on their bespoke OJS Open Journal System platform including consultation over development of their hosted platform. This includes general maintenance of their platform, as well as discussion of requirements as they change and increase over time, where this comes from configuring OJS, scripting journal-wide changes or developing a range of open source plugins and code available to the public on their GitHub page.
We have been able to ensure their journal has the features they require, including adding in items such as author listings, search improvements and more. We have also worked on mass migrations of journals including conversion between JATS XML formats, almost-but-not-quite OJS Native XML formats and others including page scraping from old journal sites where it simply being the best option.
As well as importing, we have been able to produce exports in various formats, including integration with indexing authority APIs for a smoother indexing process.
At Invisible Dragon, while not being day-to-day involved within the academic world, we are able to offer insight and consultation based on practical functionality which can scale, provide good value for money and handle unexpected spikes in traffic from the business world. We are happy to work with academics from around the world and take our knowledge to help valuable research become more discoverable.
